is NOT clothing optional. However, we do have one of
the area's sunniest clothing optional pools. And, of
course, the area inside your room is clothing optional.

The Guest House is 3 blocks from
the Ocean, and about an 8 minute walk to the gay beach.

Do I need a car in Ft. Lauderdale?
Ft. Lauderdale is a car city.
You can get around by using taxis, but if you plan
on being out and about, you might want to rent a car.

How far is The Dunes from the Ft. Lauderdale gay
bars, restaurants and shops?
The "gay hood"
is known as Wilton Manors and The Dunes is about a
10 minute drive to most things gay. Ft. Lauderdale
is very gay friendly, so you'll find a lot gay friendly
restaurants and shops all over the city.

Where is the nearest Liquor OR Grocery store?
There is a 7-11 about 3 blocks
from the Dunes. A "real" grocery and liquor store
is just over the InterCoastal on Sunrise, less than
10 minutes away.

If the room is ready, check-in
is when you get here. We'd like to say that the latest
would be 3pm. Check-out is typically 11am.

There are several great restaurants
on the Beach, and also just over the InterCoastal
on either Sunrise or Los Olas. Wilton Manors is also
only 10 minutes away.

We are a men-only facility
and our age range is 21 and over. Our average age
range is 35 - 55.

What type of crowd do you attract?
We have a little bit of everything:
singles, couples... people taking gay friendly vacations
to relax and read, and groups that are here for a
party. We try to provide our guests with an environment
that is social, but quiet for those not in the party
mood. It's quaint and relaxed.

What is the charge for the laundry service?
Daily laundry service is
available to our guests. If you leave your dirties
in the bag provided in each room, our staff will have
your laundry waiting on your bed by the time you come
back from the beach or pool. There is no charge, but
they always appreciate a thank you!

What is your tipping policy?
Our two wonderful employees
appreciate any extra "thanks" you'd like
to give them. They split all gratuities from every
guest that stays with us.

How far is the airport from the guest house, and
how much will a cab cost?
The airport (FLL) is about
a 10-minute cab ride. Have your driver take the 17th
Street Causeway; it is quicker and cheaper. You shouldn't
have to pay more than $15 -$20.
